【知识链接】名词性从句作主语、宾语和表语

在句子中起着名词作用的从句叫名词性从句。这些从句和名词一样,在句中可以充当主语、宾语(包括介词宾语和动词宾语以及某些形容词后的宾语)、表语和同位语。根据在句中的功能,相应地可称为主语从句(Subject Clause)、宾语从句(Object Clause)、表语从句(Predictive Clause)和同位语从句(Appositive Clause)。本单元介绍前三种从句。

试着翻译下列句子,并仔细观察句子成分。 1) Whether he will come or not is not yet known.

主语从句在复合句中起主语的作用。引导主语从句的词有连词__________,_____________;连接代词__________,____________等;连接副词____________,______________,_____________,______________。另外,要注意的是:(1)主语从句可以位于________;也可位于________,使用it作形式主语。(2)当主语从句放在句尾而用形式主语时,形式主语只能用______,而不能使用其他代词。(如句9) Step 2 宾语从句 【观察思考】

1) Her wish is that she could lose weight soon. 2) The question is whether it is worth doing. 3) It looked as if it was going to snow.

表语从句在复合句中作句子的表语。引导表语从句的词有连词__________,____________,_____________;连接代词___________,____________,_____________;连接副词____________,_______________,______________,_______________。 Step 4. 宾语从句的注意事项 1) 动词的宾语从句 【观察思考】

I heard that he had gone home. 我听说他回家了。

Make sure (that) all the lights are turned off before you leave. 走之前务必关掉所有的灯。 【归纳用法】

大多数___词都可以带______从句,有些短语动词和“动词+副词”结构也可以带宾语从句。 【巩固运用】
